Bounce Festival

What started as an event to keep the kids occupied during the long summer holidays has become an annual festival that delights the kids and their parents alike. The Bounce Festival is a great place to take the kids so that they can blow off some steam, especially if they are not yet old enough to play out on their own. Bounce may be a festival but there is no camping equipment required, simply turn up and enjoy all of the activities that are on offer. There is too much to simply fit into one day so the events are split over two days, this year the 10th and the 11th of August, at the Old Deer Park, Richmond.

Bounce is all about firing the imagination, getting kids thinking and encouraging them to make discoveries of their own. At Bounce the world of fun meets the world of inspiration and exploration, and the children that attend should be inspired enough to be able to entertain themselves with some of the things that they learn here, for the rest of the holidays.

What’s Happening at Bounce?

At the Bounce Festival, children will discover that there is always the chance of the unexpected happening at every turn. All of the activities that have been thought of for the festival are aimed at children aged up to the age of twelve, and of course their families too. The main stage will bring to life a number of kids entertainment performances and there will also be another five distinct areas around the park labelled as different kinds of activity zones.

One could be the wacky world of science and experiments and another could be getting the kids into street dancing. But best of all, all of the activities will be led by people that your kids will recognise from the television. Whether you have a child committed to Daredevil Science or one attracted to Create and Craft Area, there will be something for everyone to enjoy. Free running, cookery, music and art classes and much, much more are all ready to engage your kids in a fun but educational experience.

Festival Facilities

The kids are going to be burning off so much energy they will need constant refuelling, so you can be sure that the food stalls will be full of healthy, great value food. The adults will also be well catered for with a grown-ups corner where they can enjoy a drink from the bar and sit back and relax while the kids have fun. Toilet facilities are always a point of concern at festivals but visitors to Bounce can be assured that there will be plenty of clean toilets both in child and adult sizes as well as organised baby changing areas for the younger visitors. The Old Deer Park in Richmond is a wonderful place for a festival. It is easy find too as it is only a five minute walk from Richmond station which means that the kids will still have all of their energy at the start of the day, and won’t have far to walk after an exhausting day to get the train back home.
